Pre-Production
This page shows the step by step process of how I create animations starting from the pre-production stage.
Planning
To begin a project, I make sure to prepare the animation by picking and listening to the audio, and drawing the key poses to match the audio.
Layout
After planning the animation, I create the scene needed to convey the animation. I make sure that any camera, backdrop, prop and such is created, and that the character(s) are properly placed in the scene together.
Blocking
Once I am ready to go into animating, I create the key poses from the drawings made in the planning stage. In this stage, I also make sure that the poses are strong while following the audio seamlessly.
Polish
After the key poses are blocked, I begin the in-between animations, switching the animation graph curves to their proper curve and creating any extra keyframes where needed to create a strong, believable animation.
Final Product
Once the process is all done, I render out the animation, either for publishing or to gauge feedback if needed.
